Family Promise of Knoxville

Summit South Mortgage is a proud sponsor of Family Promise of Knoxville; They help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. Family Promise began accepting families in Knoxville on July 1, 2005. Since that time, they have provided shelter services to over 125 families. They unite the interfaith community and local resources to help homeless children and their families get back on their feet. Usually, the families in the program are facing homelessness for the first time in their lives due to job loss, medical conditions, financial problems, or other challenging circumstances.

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee

Summit South Mortgage has been part of The F.A.T. Boys Against Hunger Golf Tournament for 15 years. We support Second Harvest Food Bank annually through their annual golf tournament and fundraising event, F.A.T. (Feeding Americans Today). Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is the largest hunger-relief charity; 1 in 6 people in East Tennessee lives in poverty and has difficulty meeting basic needs. Among children in our community, 1 in 5 is at risk of going hungry today. The need among senior citizens continues to rise. In our East Tennessee community, an astounding 200,000 people are at risk of hunger. The food bank secures and distributes over 16 million pounds of food and grocery products annually through a network of over 500 partnering non-profit organizations such as food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, and schools.
